Lisa is the director of Suburban Thunder Improv Company and teaches improv to Tweens, Teens, and adults through San Ramon Parks and Community Services. She took her first improv class at BATS in San Francisco in 1992 and eventually evolved into a coach. She stayed with BATS until 2002 when the world improvised around her and led her to another life in the east bay.
This new life included a new job as an EMT (because Carol Hazenfield endowed her as a "helper"), a new husband, and a new son. After settling in the TriValley, she found improv again with Venessa Sanchez and Improv U and inherited an improv class and her wonderful new improv family!
She was also fortunate to meet and improvise with Scott Cornfield and Cheryl Kann. This led to performing with Cheryl at The Marsh in San Francisco and Berkeley through the leadership of David Ford.
When she's not teaching improv to Tweens and Teens or working out with her troupe, she is hanging with her family, dog-parking with Penny, or cheering on the Warriors. Go Dubs!
